On Facebook they were made viral the images of a dog who saved his blind companion from drowning in a swimming pool.
Luna, As the female dog was baptized, she is 14 years old and was walking in the pool, but fell into the water when her sense of sight was worn out. Seeing the tragic scene, his partner Caipirinha, In desperation, he did his best to guide her to the ladder and help her out.
Both pets live with their owners Juliet Firpo and Diego Druetto in Sunchales (Argentina). The enormous heroic action was recorded thanks to a security camera.
According to Julieta in the Facebook post, she was surprised when Luna entered the house soaked.
“As a dog over 14 years old, her eyesight is fading, Luna is not as adventurous as she was before, so it seemed strange to me that she decided to swim in the pool on her own,” wrote Julieta.
However, when reviewing the security camera footage of the pool area, her husband Firpo discovered that Luna had actually fallen into the water by accident and, unable to navigate alone, was in real danger of drowning. That is until Caipirinha rushed inside.
“We saw the video and we couldn’t believe it. Seeing Luna in danger, Caipirinha worked diligently to help her, guiding the confused older dog to the shallow end of the pool, before leading her to safety by the collar, ”Firpo said.
After the surprising images shared on Faceboook, the couple decided to block the pool so that this accident would not happen again. Thanks to Caipirinha’s swift action and her clear devotion to her friend’s well-being, Luna escaped that terrifying incident unscathed.
