Facebook Messenger to get integrated invoice splitting

This feature can be useful in situations like sharing a restaurant bill with your friends or sharing the bill with roommates.

Washington: Meta, the parent company of Facebook, will introduce a built-in bill splitting feature in Facebook Messenger that it will test with users in the United States starting next week.

According to The Verge, this feature can come in handy in situations like sharing a restaurant bill with your friends or sharing the bill with roommates.

With this feature, users can request money from people directly in a group chat and see who paid their share of the request. They can see how it all works in a series of screenshots below from the Meta.

The feature film comes shortly after David Marcus, the boss of crypto-Meta and former boss of Messenger, announced he was leaving the company.

Meta also added new group effects, which let Messenger and Instagram video call users together use the same augmented reality effects it created with popular content creators.

Three of them are now available, including one that makes your connection seem like it was temporary created with Zach King, and one from Emma Chamberlain arriving on December 6.

According to The Verge, Meta also recently introduced a new “soundmoji”. Two are inspired by Stranger Things (before the new season which will be released next summer) and the other plays a sample of “Red” by Taylor Swift.
