Facebook launches a program to accelerate the growth of Spanish startups | Companies

Facebook has launched a program this Wednesday to help startups Spanish companies in their growth, collaborating with investors, accelerators and the startups. According to the company, the initiative, called Five, focuses on two objectives. On the one hand, provide training to startups in full development and, on the other, offer personalized advice to more mature startups.

The social network has created for the former a training program that includes ‘webinars’ and strategic sessions to provide them startups of the knowledge and tools necessary to accelerate and scale your business on Facebook platforms. Specifically, companies would receive training in areas such as planning, creativity, technology and good practices, among others, according to a statement.

Regarding the startups in a more mature phase, Facebook will select 30 of them that will have a strategic program and individualized support by professionals from the social network in order to help them scale their growth strategy on a massive scale. For this purpose, the multinational will offer them personalized mentoring sessions and will make available resources such as updated reports on benchmark industry and optimization tools.

In addition, Five will collaborate with venture capital investment funds to offer the program to its investees and contribute to its acceleration.

“To this day, startups and entrepreneurs play a fundamental role in the growth of our economy and are one of the main drivers of the change in the economic model and digital transformation “, said David Sáez, director of New Business for Facebook in Spain and Portugal, thus explaining the reason for this initiative.
