Facebook: how to delete old posts on the social network?

Facebook is a social network that has been among the users, so it is normal that in our bill there are still those old photos that we want to hide for various reasons. Therefore, if you have decided to give a new life to your profile, restarting it or changing it to make it more professional, you don’t need to delete it and start from scratch.

In this sense, you should know that to ‘clean’ your Facebook of old publications, you only have to resort to the activity log tool that you can find both in the mobile version and on the web of the platform.

How to use the Facebook activity log?

The activity log allows you to review and manage what you share on Facebook. To start using it, you must do the following:

  • Click on the inverted triangle icon in the upper right of Facebook.
  • Choose Settings and privacy> Settings.
  • Then, go to Your Facebook Information and click on Activity Log.
  • When entering Activity Register, you will be able to see all the actions and interactions that you have carried out on the social network. Here, click on the option Manage activity which you will see at the top of the screen.
  • When you do, a window will open at the bottom in which you must click on Your posts.
  • You will access a list with all the publications you have made on Facebook in chronological order.
  • When you find the publication you want to hide, you must click on the three horizontal dots located on the right side and choose Edit privacy. There you must choose the option Just me.
  • You also have a Filters option that will allow you to show only certain types of content organized in categories. In this way, you can quickly delete or hide publications.
