They were a couple for a year: the former snowboard champ Fabien Rohrer (44) and the Polish dancer Patrycja Studer (30). They met at the beginning of 2019 on the SRF show “May I ask?” Now love has gone.
Studer has already moved out of the shared apartment in Spiez BE. She lives with her new dance partner Jason Brügger (27), the winner of “The greatest Swiss talents” from 2016. In October, she will be performing with the Basel acrobat in the new edition of “May I ask?” sweep across the floor. “Patrycja was gone,” Rohrer explains, which is why she no longer lives with him. “I could no longer deal with their relationship model.”
The two raved about each other in the highest tones a year ago: “We have it very well together, we complement each other wonderfully in many things,” said the former top athlete about living with Studer. “It brings completely new impulses to my life.” If she had a low, Fabien would support her, Patrycia returned the compliment. “We are very emotionally connected and on course as a couple.”
Today everything looks different: For Rohrer, the new impulses that the dance teacher wanted to give him turned out to be more and more “a nightmare”, as he says. “Patrycja suddenly asked for a polygamous relationship.” That means: She wanted a relationship with several partners.
Even at the beginning of her love affair, it seemed strange to him that she was still married and had an affair with a dance student at the same time, recalls Rohrer. “So at some point I had to draw a line and suggest that she immediately move out of our apartment.”
What also bothered him was her lack of interest in children. Rohrer has a son from a previous relationship: Jeremy (8). He lives 100 percent with him in the Bernese Oberland. “You can only get me as a single father with my boy,” he says. And that was difficult for Patrycja to accept.
New page in Patrycja’s life
Studer does not want to accept Rohrer’s explanations that led to the love off. “There was no clear reason for the separation,” she said over the weekend to the “Swiss magazine”. «It was probably the same as with many other couples. We wanted it, we tried, but it didn’t quite work for both. » She has many wonderful memories of her time in Spiez. “But now it’s time to write a new page in Patrycja’s life,” she added.
When asked if a new love was involved, Studer dismisses: “We went our separate ways as singles.” Rohrer counters, at least in the latter. “I was always loyal to Patrycja and, unlike her, I never had to give myself over to someone else.”
Ex-Miss Stéphanie Berger
Rohrer makes it clear that he can’t do anything with polygamy. He is not a sad child, he adds. His ex-girlfriends include ex-Miss Switzerland Stéphanie Berger (42) and singer Kisha (41). But: “I am someone who wants to know who he belongs to.” Rohrer adds thoughtfully: “Maybe I’m a bit old-fashioned in this regard.”
Polygamy is the term for marriage with multiple partners. The Greek “polys” means “a lot”, “gamos” means “marriage”. That is why one speaks of multiple or multiple marriages. A person does not always have to be officially married to two people, polygamy also includes marriage-like relationships. Someone has sex with other people in addition to his marriage and sometimes lives with them. The newly used artificial word polyamory differs from polygamy because all those involved are initiated and there is no fraud. These are free and longer relationships that run in parallel.
