Who should be vaccinated with the bivalent dose?

The Minsal has this vaccine for everyone over 12 years of age, Focusing especially on those patients at higher risk, such as those over 60 years of age.

Along with this, inoculation is recommended for priority groups such as obese people,
chronically ill and immunosuppressed, pregnant women, patients with disabilities
severe and those who received the last booster dose more than 6 months ago.

This inoculation is only contraindicated in patients who have previously had a severe allergic reaction to the same type of vaccine (mRNA).

What is the bivalent vaccine?

“The difference with previously known coronavirus vaccines is that this provides greater protection as it contains the surface protein of the original strain, in addition to the omicron variant” indicated Rodrigo Blamey, an infectologist at Medicop.
