Explosion leaves four injured in San Nicolás, in NL

Four seriously injured people is the result of an explosion that occurred in a house in the municipality of San nicolas de los heros, this Monday morning.

According to the state’s Civil Protection, the explosion was felt several meters away and damaged five neighboring houses as well as six vehicles.

It is believed that an accumulation of gas would have caused the accident registered in the house located at number 525 of Jorge González Camarena, between Pensamiento and República Mexicana in the Villas del Roble neighborhood.

As a preventive measure, several homes were evicted with a total of 16 people evacuated. Personnel from the aforementioned agency proceeded to review the properties.

The injured are Noemí Guadalupe Garza Olguín, 50, and Alan Azael Vázquez Garza, 20, who had second-degree burns, as did Alexa Johana Vázquez Garza, 18.
