If you’ve always wanted to explore Mexico in Red Dead Redemption 2, now is your chance. Mexico Team has released a mod that allows you to discover the lands of Mexico from the first part of RDR.
In Red Dead Redemption 1, Mexico served as the second region explored by protagonist John Marston during his mission to find former members of the Van der Linde gang. However, in the prequel Red Dead Redemption 2, players are greeted by an invisible barrier that prevents them from entering Mexico, despite its presence on the game map.
You can find the Nuevo Paraiso mod here. As Mexico Team wrote, the mod is in early access, which means there are still improvements and additions to come.
The mod reworks part of the Nuevo Paraiso map from RDR1 and places it in RDR2 along with redesigned cities and characters. The interiors are also available for exploration.
