When firefighters arrived, the front of the car was already on fire. The firefighters managed to keep the rest of the car from catching fire. A salvage company with a large container was then called. The car has been loaded into this, after which water is fed in to cool the car.
With electric cars, it is possible that they turn on again spontaneously. Putting them under water will prevent this.
It is not known how the fire started.
