It is noted that fighters from the Eastern Military District are being transferred to Belarus. The crews of combat aircraft will work out several tasks. Among them are flights to the maximum range and landing at Belarusian airfields.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that at the first stage of the “exercises”, which will be held until February 9, groups of troops will be created on the territory of Belarus. It is also planned to organize the protection and defense of important state, military facilities and airspace.
The second stage will be held from 10 to 20 February. Within its framework, it is planned to work out repelling an external attack, countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the “Union State”.
