This estimate is an upward revision of an internal forecast made in October on the impact of up to 30% production at the world’s largest iPhone factory, said the source, who requested anonymity because the information was private.
After this week’s unrest at the plant, the source added that it was “impossible” for the company to resume production by the end of the month, a deadline it had set internally before Wednesday’s wave of protests.
Foxconn declined to comment.
