Phil Collins’ ex-wife, Orianne Cevey, broke up with the musician by text message this summer, reports The Sun Saturday. “I have found someone else and want to see if I can be happy again”, she is said to have sent the singer.
Cevey would have sent the message in July. It is the second time that the couple – who were married between 1999 and 2008 – has split up. Earlier this week, it was announced that Cevey was married to guitarist Thomas Bates on August 2 in Las Vegas. She told Collins at the time that she was on a business trip.
For years, the former Genesis singer himself was said to have ended his relationship with his then-wife Jill Tavelman by fax. Collins has always denied those rumors.
‘Collins wants to start an eviction case against Cevey’
Reported last week TMZ According to sources, the 69-year-old musician plans to file an eviction lawsuit against Cevey 23 years his junior for not leaving his $ 33 million mansion.
Instead, she would have changed the home’s security codes, been unreasonable to the staff, and threatened to release “false and embarrassing accusations” about Collins.
Collins and Cevey first met when Cevey worked as Collins’ translator on his tour of Switzerland in 1994. They married in 1999 and had two sons together: Nicholas and Matthew. They divorced in 2008, which cost Collins £ 42 million at the time.
After Cevey divorced her second husband in 2016, she and Collins got back on track and even made plans to get married again.
