ACCEPTANCE – The former bodyguard said he had security camera footage that the former President Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani carrying a bag filled with money when he fled the country last August. This is the latest report and at the same time refutes the confession of the Afghan leader who is backed by United States of America (US) that.

“I have footage which shows that someone at the Bank of Afghanistan brought a lot of money to Ghani before he left,” the man identified as Brigadier General Piraz Ata Sharifi told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. Russia Today, Sunday (10/9/2021).

“Hundreds of millions, maybe billions of dollars. There are lots of big, and heavy bags. It’s not rice,” he said.

Sharifi told the Daily Mail that he went to the Afghan defense ministry on August 15 for a meeting that Ghani was supposed to attend. As the president’s head of security, it is his job to disarm the guards at the ministry to ensure Ghani’s safety. But while waiting for the commander-in-chief to arrive, the general got a call indicating that Ghani had gone to the airport instead.

Other VIP guests, such as the defense minister and members of Ghani’s entourage, were also included in the secret evacuation, but Sharifi claims he was never informed of the escape plan.

“They just ran away and left me,” he said.

The former bodyguard alleges that the money stolen by Ghani should have been used for the currency exchange market.

“Instead, it was taken by the president,” said Sharifi. “Ghani knew in the end what was going to happen, so he took all the money and ran away.”

Despite saying he has potentially incriminating footage of Ghani and his associates, Sharifi is in no rush to release it. He said he would publish the video once he was in a safe place, namely on British soil.
