“He didn’t have British pounds.”
Ex-US President Donald Trump (74) apparently still owes one of his former bodyguards – Trump is said to never have repaid 130 US dollars for a McDonald’s order!
This is what Kevin McKay claims to the British newspaper„Daily Mail“. He worked for him as a bodyguard before Trump’s presidency in Scotland.
“He still owes me money for McDonald’s. He said he’ll pay me back, but he never did, ”McKay told the newspaper. He was shocked that he never got the money back.
“We were on our way from Mr. Trump’s property to the airport when he said we should stop at McDonald’s so he could buy food for the flight back to New York.”
The problem: Trump apparently didn’t have any British pounds on him, so he asked Bodyguard McKay to advance the money to him.
“I said ‘clear’ and ordered for everyone – about 20 cheeseburgers with fries and ten or 15 Coca-Colas. I think Mr. Trump ordered two cheeseburgers with fries and a Diet Coke, that was his standard. “

In contrast to multimillionaire Trump, US $ 130 was a lot of money for McKay at the time: According to his statements, he only received US $ 2700 a month from Trump.
“I never heard of it again, I should have asked him about the money, but I swept it under the carpet at the time.” Trump himself never brought up the issue again.
Kevin McKay worked for Donald Trump from 2007 to 2012 when the real estate entrepreneur wanted to build his golf course in Balmedie, Scotland. According to McKay, he was taken for the job because he previously protected stars like Britney Spears, among others.
In 2012, after five years as an employee of Donald Trump, McKay was fired. Opposite the “Daily Mail” McKay blames his job with Trump for the end of his 23-year marriage. Two years later (2014), he was sentenced to four years in prison for tax evasion, according to the newspaper.
