As every year, this 2021 the renewal of Apple’s most popular devices is expected. And although the first months of the year, as usual, the news has been monopolized by the iPhone 13, little by little news about the next one has been arriving Apple Watch Series 7.
The best of the Apple Watch Series 7
If the Apple Watch Series 6 introduced new red and blue aluminum colors and a graphite variant of the classic space black stainless steel case, the next generation could introduce the first design tweak since the switch to a full screen layout con Apple Watch Series 4.
This update has been promoted by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, although without much detail. At the time, the leaker claimed a “Significant change in form factor design”, which obviously leaves a lot to the imagination.
Some designers have used this leak as inspiration to create some Apple Watch Series 7 concepts with flat-edged design, in the best style of the iPhone 12.
A rumored update in this regard would be a big change for the Apple Watch Series 7. A few weeks ago, the Asian publication ET News from Korea reported that Apple is working to bring blood sugar measurements to your watches this year:
“Apple is applying the blood glucose measurement function to the Apple Watch 7 which will be introduced this year. With the related patent technology secured, he is focusing on ensuring reliability and stability before making the technology available. “
Previously, it has been confirmed Apple CEO Tim Cook’s interest in blood sugar control via Apple Watch. In May 2017, it was reported that Cook was seen on the Apple campus testing a portable blood sugar tracker that worked with the Apple Watch.
That same year, Apple established a team to specifically work on sensors to monitor non-invasively blood sugar levels. Work on the sensor progressed to trials at clinical sites in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As expected, this leak has also led to the creation of concepts that show how an app works to measure glucose in the blood, on the Apple Watch Series 7.
A patent obtained a few days ago by Apple confirmed the development of a technology that will allow include millimeter wave antennas to capture 5G in upcoming Apple Watch models.
This document is in addition to others registered by Apple in previous years for similar purposes. So after so many years of research and with a product available with this technology, it is believed that This could be the year of the Apple Watch with 5G.
