Everton have announced the signing of Onana for a fee of 33 million pounds.

Everton have been rumored to be searching for several central footballers. Decided to grab the young midfielder Amadou Onana from Lille to join the army by Onana, 20, will wear the number 30 shirt for the Toffees blue.

Amadou Onana joins Everton on a five-year contract until 2027 for around £33 million and has to pay a further 20 per cent of Lille’s future transfer fee.

Onana told Everton’s website that ‘I feel really good going to Everton, I know this is a great club, one of the biggest clubs in England.

Onana added that ‘This is something I’ve wanted to be a part of for many years. Manager for a very important reason. He played at the top level, winning a lot of things and playing in midfield too.’

‘His attention means a lot and I think he can teach me a lot of things. The Everton fans are amazing, I saw them cheering last season and it was. One of the reasons for choosing Everton as well, I was looking forward to coming on the pitch to meet them in Goodison and just hearing the cheers gave me goosebumps.’

By this summer, Amadou Onana is the fifth addition to Everton’s army. He previously had Conor Coady, James Tarkowski, Ruben Winagre and Dwight McNeil.
