Krefeld. New signing Kai Bastian Evers brings a lot of experience for the midfield: the 32-year-old, who played 35 games for Lippstadt last season (2 goals, 3 assists), has over 100 games each in the Regionalliga West and the Regionalliga Nord and has also been on the pitch 66 times in the 3rd division. Evers has already played for KFC in the past friendlies against Preußen Münster and VfB Uerdingen. Now that all transfer modalities have been clarified with the releasing club SV Lippstadt, Evers is also “officially” part of the new KFC Oberliga team.

“I’m really in the mood for KFC and the environment,” says Evers about his move. CEO Damien Raths: “Kai will help us enormously with his experience and as a player. I am pleased that we were able to inspire him to take this step towards us.”

At the beginning of his career, Evers, who trained at Borussia Dortmund, also played various games for the U16, U17 and U18 of the German national team. After his time at Dortmund, he played for Babelsberg, Sportfreunde Lotte, the Stuttgarter Kickers, Rödinghausen, Rehden, Oldenburg and, as already mentioned, most recently Lippstadt. Now his footballing journey continues on the Lower Rhine with KFC.
