Events: Coronavirus Peru | Minsa reported 5,678 new confirmed cases of VOC

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Wednesday, July 29, that the number of positive cases of the new coronavirus rose to 400,683 () in the country. It is 5,678 new infections, adding to 395,005 on Tuesday.

The Executive Branch published in late June the norm that establishes the quarantine focused on the following regions: Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash. In Lima and the other departments, the measure was lifted from Wednesday, July 1.

However, last Saturday the regulation that extends the targeted quarantine for three provinces of Cajamarca and one of Cusco was published. In the case of Cajamarca, it is the provinces of Cajamarca, Jaén and San Ignacio; while in Cusco it was applied to the province of La Convencion.
