Although only founded in 2015, the association from Nuremberg already has 200 members. including 80 active players. There is no end in sight. “Football is still on the rise,” says Brezinski, “even we, as a small club, notice that the hype is far from reaching its limit.”
Short season – also with us
But shortly before the end of the season. Because the football season only lasts from September to early February. There are several reasons for this, Brezinski knows. For example health. “Football players are very physically challenged,” says Brezinski. After 16 games in 17 weeks she almost reached the limit. On the other hand and the tight schedule makes the league more exciting, every game can influence the outcome of the season. There are hardly any duels that are about nothing.

What the Hawks’ season will look like is still unclear. “A start is currently planned for the end of June or the beginning of July, but a game plan is not yet in place.” In 2020, the football team were able to play at least a few friendlies after the official season was completely canceled.
