Even leaving the Coalition is not a problem

Jakarta

factional attitude NasDem The DPR RI has voted to abstain on the revision of Law no. 3 of 2022 concerning State Capital (IKN) the proposal to enter the 2023 priority national legislative program has been criticised. PKB satirized the attitude of NasDem that has no influence.

“We respect NasDem’s decision, but it doesn’t affect anything,” PKB deputy head Jazilul Fawaid told reporters on Friday (11/25/2022).

Because, according to PKB, without agreeing with NasDem, President Jokowi’s coalition already holds the majority in the DPR. More sharply, the PKB, as Jokowi’s coalition partner, has no problem with NasDem leaving the coalition.

“Without the NasDem, we already have majority support in the DPR. Even if the NasDem wants to leave the coalition, there is no problem,” Jazilul said.

So far, PKB is relaxed if the NasDem changes its attitude regarding support for Jokowi. Because, according to PKB, joining Jokowi’s coalition was voluntary.

“In my opinion, whether the NasDem has a different attitude or distances itself, the important thing is in a constructive and productive way,” he added.

The NasDem DPR faction had previously chosen to abstain when the revision of the 2022 Law Number 3 related to the IKN was proposed to be included in the National Priority Legislative Program of 2023. NasDem DPR RI Chairman Roberth Rouw explained the reason for the abstention abstention of the NasDem.

“Oh right, it hasn’t been the plenary yet, we deliberately abstained earlier. Why? We just passed the IKN law recently, count how many months is the IKN. So we want to study it better so that we can express our views to the plenary session later,” Roberth said when contacted on Thursday (24/11).

He said NasDem abstained so that the IKN bill would become a lesson for cadres. Aside from that, Roberth said the NasDem DPR faction does not want to be arbitrary in making decisions.

“Abstain first, see first, denounce first because we’re an extension of the party, we don’t go easy on our faction, right? We also have to report to the DPP to jointly ask for guidance from there, like this,” Roberth explained.
