European startups can now more easily access investments from Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley investors have spurred the growth of nearby businesses for decades. But the founders of startups from Europe often had to fly to California to discuss obtaining investments, visiting offices on Sand Hill Road – where most venture capital funds are located.

Despite this, everything has changed due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. how writes CNBC, referring to the head of Salesforce Ventures International Alex Kayal, now does not matter where the startup is located, because most of the meetings are now held remotely.

Whereas earlier European founders of startups from Berlin, London and Paris were at a disadvantage, today for a Silicon Valley investor it doesn’t matter where the company is located. Instead of a personal meeting, the priority will now be given to remote ones.

Despite this, Alex Kayal himself assured that Salesforce Ventures is constantly investing in companies around the world, and he has not personally met many of the founders of such startups.
