Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered Gazprom to accept payments in rubles only for natural gas supplies to “enemy countries.”

Representatives of European regulatory services have entered Gazprom’s offices, Reuters reported. This is believed to be in connection with an investigation into Russian gas supplies to EU member states.

Within days, there must be a decision on whether Europe will pay for the supply of natural gas in rubles or in euros and dollars.
