The Lungolario Polti and Piazza Garibaldi will be the protagonists of the long weekend which will host the European Market and the street food “La Carovana dei Sapori”. From 1 to 4 June, Colicky takes on an international flair, thanks to the typical products and aromas of the cuisines of Europe and beyond. For this eighth edition, in fact, some new features are on the way to the international stands. Pulled pork, pretzels and kangaroo burgers will be available to those who love particularly strong flavours, but there will also be caviar, vodka and other typical Eastern European products.
From paella to Dutch desserts, from shin to Brazilian meats
If the weather also plays its part, the long weekend of the Festa della Repubblica will transform the long-awaited gastronomic event into a success, offering the best Italian and international tradition, organized by the Pro loco of Colico in collaboration with Confesercenti Bergamo and Lecco and with the sponsorship of the municipality of Colico. For four days, from Thursday to Sunday, “street food” will be the absolute protagonist: from Spanish paella to crepes and Dutch desserts, from Mexican specialties to Greek gastronomy, up to German cuisine with frankfurters, shanks and beer, without forgetting delicious Brazilian meats.
Italian food and wine is also the protagonist
Italian food and wine will also be represented with a rich selection of specialties from many Italian regions: Abruzzo arrosticini, Umbrian butchery, Ligurian focaccia, Apulian panzerotti, stuffed pretzels from South Tyrol, Sicilian specialities. Particular attention will be paid to typical and km 0 products, with some stands of local producers already highly appreciated in previous editions. It will be possible to taste the products directly on site in the areas equipped with tables and small structures to enjoy a taste in company, enjoying a breathtaking view. These are the times of the event: from Thursday 1 to Saturday 3 June: from 9 to midnight – Sunday 4 June: from 9.00 to 22.
