From 17 to 19 March, the congress of the pan-European movement of citizens founded by the former European parliamentarian will become a container of ideas and concrete initiatives for the political forces in the running next year.
It will give birth to a series of European Citizens’ Initiatives (ECI) – the collection of one million signatures to activate a legislative process on Ukraine in the EU, Migrants, End of life, Assemblies of citizens drawn by lot, Cannabis, Abortion, Digital identity, Universal Income…

The summit of European civic participation is held in Gdansk from 17 to 19 March with a series of necessary reforms in the field of human and ecological rights at the center of the debate.
“Democracy, Ecology and Freedom beyond borders” is the title of the meeting promoted by Eumans, a pan-European movement of popular and nonviolent initiatives founded by former MEP Marco Cappato and European Alternatives.
In addition to relaunching the call for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, various European Citizens’ Initiatives to be launched in the spring of 2023 will be discussed, these are tools of democracy which, if signed up by at least one million people of seven countries, will be able to formally propose the activation of a legislative process by the European Commission and the European Parliament.
During the three days, issues such as: the organization of a permanent assembly of European citizens, the European digital identity, transnational lists for the 2024 European elections, a fair European climate policy, the regulation of cannabis, safe abortion will be addressed , voluntary assisted dying, EU mechanism for asylum seekers and migrants, universal services and basic income, and therapeutic psychedelics.
