Europa League Quarterfinal Leg I Results


Only one win happened in the first leg Europa League quarter-finals. The other three matches ended with a draw.

Quarterfinal series Europa League held from Thursday (7/4/2022) to Friday (8/4) in the morning WIB. RB Leipzig vs Atalanta was held first and ended 1-1.

Atalanta took the lead through Luis Muriel in the 17th minute. They then conceded an own goal by Davide Zappacosta in the 58th minute.

The 1-1 draw also colored the duel Eintracht Frankfurt vs Barcelona. Blaugrana who was seeded on paper fell behind to Ansgar Knauff’s goal in the 48th minute and hit back through Ferran Torres in the 66th minute.

Tuta’s red card in the 78th minute made Barcelona superior number of players. But Xavi Hernandez’s foster children were not able to add goals.

The 1-1 score also occurred in the West Ham United vs Olympique Lyonnais match. West Ham, who lost Aaron Cresswell to a red card in the 45th minute, took the lead through Jarrod Bowen in the 52nd minute.

Lyon equalized the score in the 66th minute through Tanguy Ndombele.

The only victory in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals last night was picked by Braga. The Portuguese representative won 1-0 against Rangers thanks to Abel Ruiz’s goal.

The second leg of the quarter-finals will be held next week.
