Jackson Muleka and Standard de Liège qualified for the third round of the Europa League this Thursday evening. Opposed to the Welsh club Bala Town, the Rouches dominated their evening opponent by 2 goals to 0. Felipe Avenatti opened the scoring on the penalty spot in the 19th (1-0) before Salim Amallah doubled the bet ten minutes from the pause on a deflected strike (2-0, 34th).
With a controlled match, Philippe Montanier’s men managed the second half without putting themselves in danger. Highly anticipated, Muleka attended from the sidelines the two goals of his own. Entering the 69th, the young striker struggled like hell in support of the main striker creating a clear opportunity.
Thanks to this success, Standard de Liège qualified for the next round of the competition. For Jackson Muleka, his debut was successful and it is not with the qualifying ticket in his pocket that JM17 will say the opposite.
