New Eufycam E40 Offers Enhanced Security with Color Vision
Eufy, a subsidiary of Anker, has just launched the Eufycam E40, which offers advanced surveillance capabilities. This new camera boasts a 2K resolution sensor and 2K Maxcolor Vision for improved color recording, even in low-light environments.
Exceptional Features
The Eufycam E40 features an updated 2K (4MP) resolution image sensor. It also has an F/1.0-Dazzle aperture and a 130-degree wide field of view. Its integrated PIR sensor detects movement, even when lighting conditions are not ideal. The device also includes a small integrated headlight for supplemental illumination.
Eufy’s cameras do not require a subscription. Full functionality is provided without needing any ongoing fees. Using the Homebase 3 (S380) base station, these cameras unlock AI features, including recognizing individuals, animals, and vehicles. Facial recognition further enhances its capabilities by notifying users when family members arrive home.
Homebase Integration and Cloud Storage
The EUFYCAM E40 is compatible with Homebase 2, yet the company suggests pairing it with the newer Homebase 3 to fully utilize its AI features and expanded local storage—up to 16 TB. Cloud storage options are also available for users who prefer them. The EUFYCAM E40, alongside both Homebase 2 and 3, offers support for Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa to satisfy smart home requirements.
The EUFYCAM E40 has a built-in 13,000 mAh battery supplemented by integrated solar panels. This configuration allows the camera to run for up to 365 days without charging and even longer with good sunlight. For locations with limited direct sunlight, an external solar panel can be connected, sold separately.
