–“The European Commission, in agreement with the leaders of many countries (EU), has decided that contracts with companies producing (viral vector) vaccines, which are valid for the current year, will not be renewed when they expire.”
The news comes after yesterday’s announcement by J&J that it would delay the release of its COVID-19 vaccine in Europe due to fears that recipients might develop blood clots in rare cases.
It is reported that the EU will focus on mRNA vaccines such as the one developed by Pfizer and Modern.
