Erwin Koeman resigns from Beitar Jerusalem: ‘Time to retire as head coach’ | Football

sport">“Since I arrived at Beitar Jerusalem I have fallen in love with the place and the people here. The decision to stop was therefore difficult,” said Koeman, who says he will no longer return to this position, at any club. “It’s time to retire as head coach for good.”

sport">Koeman started working for Beitar last summer, after being without a club for a year and a half. Under his leadership, the club was ninth (out of fourteen) in the Israeli league after eleven rounds. Earlier in his career he was responsible for, among others, Feyenoord, FC Utrecht, RKC Waalwijk and the national team of Oman.
