Trabzonspor elects its new president. The extraordinary general assembly, which started with the resignation of Ahmet Ağaoğlu, will be completed today with the election of the 18th president of the Borod-blue club.
Voting for the presidential election, in which Ertuğrul Doğan entered as the only candidate, started at 10:00 and will continue until 16:00.
9,278 delegates have the right to vote in Trabzonspor’s extraordinary general assembly.
ERTUĞRUL DOĞAN: WE DID NOT MANAGE THE PROCESS CORRECTLY AFTER THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Ertuğrul Doğan, who entered the election as the only candidate, used the following statements in his speech.
“When we took office in April 2018 with our Champion President, Mr. Ahmet Ağaoğlu, the situation of our club was clear. We were in a financially exhausted state. It was not easy to improve our economy and keep our team in the race. We went through difficult ways, but with the endless support of our community, we were able to overcome obstacles. In a period of about 5 years. We have put 4 trophies in our museum, each more valuable than the other. I agree with your criticisms this season. Unfortunately, we had some fundamental shortcomings in managing the process after the championship.
“WE PREPARED OUR 5-YEAR MACRO PLAN”

“Today is the time to turn a new page, to make our club’s economy sustainable and to create a team that will compete in all lanes. Tomorrow, we have prepared our 5-year macro plan in the short, medium and long term. We will explain the details to our community later, but to summarize, the key sentence of our roadmap is sustainable. “The return of the sustainable economy, which we believe we will get results in the medium term, will be new projects that will provide income to our club, reducing the team budget, strengthening our infrastructure organization by producing and scouting. Of course, our Trabzonspor will continue to compete while we wait for these moves to mature.”

“I and my colleagues from the board of directors, all of whom are valuable, promise transparency in every step we will take. When we achieve our goals, know that our Trabzonspor will have a structure that has its feet on the ground and does not need anyone. We are starting our road story with the hope that it will be full of success. We believe that our community will not spare its support today, as it was yesterday. We entered the congress with a single list, but I see that we are leaving here with one heart.
