CONSTO ARENA (VG) Erling Moe (50) thought that Molde was cheated for the victory against Mjøndalen. That makes MIF captain Christian Gauseth (36) react.

– I think he Erling should sharpen up. He a laugh-kid if he says this match was decided by the referee, says former Molde player Gauseth to VG.

After 0-0 match Moe went out on the artificial turf in the scorching sun and told referee Dag Vidar Hafsås that the ball was over the line when Kristoffer Haugen (27) finished towards the Mjøndalen goal just over a quarter of an hour before the end. A few minutes later, the Molde boss repeated the same to VG.

– The match is characterized by the fact that the referees do not do their job. It is a pity. It is all too often that matches are decided by things beyond our reach. When it is decisive in a match, it is not approved by the referees, says Moe.

– Cheated

Haugen and Molde captain Magnus Wolff Eikrem (30) also supported under the coach’s view.

– I scored. I have looked at the pictures after the match and it confirmed what I was thinking. The ball was in. It’s sad to be cheated for two points here today. The line judge said he did not get it, said Haugen to VG.

– It was inside. I lay down on the line and saw it clearly. It was very, very boring, but we were not in flames today, Wolff Eikrem said.

Judge Hafsås said the following:

– It is impossible for us to see if the ball is completely inside and thus we can not judge goals. In this situation, it is almost impossible to decide whether it is in or not, Hafsås claimed to VG.

Gauseth surprises Moe

The Mjøndalen captain, for his part, does not buy that the match ended in a draw due to a referee error.

– This match ended as it did because we were well organized, frustrated Molde and missed a few chances. I think he Erling should focus on that, rather than laugh at the judge – because I have little left for that, says Gauseth.

A while later, Moe responded to the criticism from the MIF player in an SMS to VG.

– It’s surprising. I was absolutely sure that Christian supported me on this, as we have fresh in mind the outbursts of rage against the judges from “Gausethen” last year, writes Moe and attaches a laugh emoji.
