Minister’s Special Staff BUMN Arya Sinulingga asked the President Commissioner (Komut) of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) not to act like the President Director (President Director).
“Don’t let Pak Ahok at Pertamina become a commissioner and feel like a director. Comut feels like the CEO. Don’t. You have to know the limits,” Arya explained to CNNIndonesia.com, Sunday (28/11).
Arya’s suggestion was made in response to Ahok’s anger, who said that business contracts often harm SOEs, including Pertamina.
He suggested that Ahok learn more about the transformation that is being carried out by the ministry led by Erick Thohir.
“We hope that in the future Pak Ahok will learn more about what BUMN is doing, lest Pak Ahok as the Komut miss the train,” he explained.
This is because the issue that Ahok discussed has been the concern of the Ministry of SOEs for a long time.
In fact, Erick Thohir has warned that projects at state-owned companies do not become a source of corruption and that cooperation between SOEs can provide mutual benefits.
Until now, Arya stated that his ministry is carrying out 5 transformations that will be carried out by all companies simultaneously.
“So I’m also confused if Pak Ahok doesn’t understand the 5 transformations that we carry out in SOEs, as Komut it should be Pak Ahok’s reference,” he added.
Previously, Ahok on his YouTube channel said that many contracts in BUMN were detrimental, including Pertamina. He was also angry with the findings, because the contract actually benefits the other party.
