Éric Piolle in favor of a curfew at 7 or 8 p.m. to unclog shops

While the government says it is ready to take new measures to stem the progression of the epidemic in Île-de-France where the situation of hospitals is increasingly tense, the environmentalist mayor of Grenoble Éric Piolle asks the question of the relevance of the curfew at 6 p.m. imposed on all French people for several weeks.
“I was in favor of a curfew at 8:00 p.m. You can’t close bars without a curfew at 8:00 p.m. But at 6:00 p.m., it’s complicated for shopping. Reassembling it at 7 or 8 p.m. could ease the pressure on businesses“, estimated the guest ecologist of the Grand Jury this Sunday, March 14.

The mayor of Grenoble also deplored the government’s lack of clarity. “We have been living in confinement for a year and have not seen the government’s strategy,” he said. “People need contact. Every week I receive videos with people drinking shots sometimes after 6 pm,” he said.
