The best team of the season will resume this Friday against the Celtics without Eric Bledsoe and Pat Connaughton.
The two players contracted Covid-19 during the cut and they arrived after their teammates in the “bubble”. Sure, they took part in training this Thursday, but they’re not ready to play again.
“They lack a bit of everything: physical condition, rhythm”, explains Mike Budenholzer to ESPN. “The rest of the squad are ready to play a real game because they have between ten days and two weeks of five-on-five and individual work. Bledsoe and Connaughton still need to have at least a few three-on-three or five-on-five sessions before being raised for an NBA game. “
The titular leader and the substitute rear logically did not participate in the three “scrimmages”.
If the Bucks coach does as in December 2019, when Eric Bledsoe was absent for two weeks, it is Donte DiVincenzo who should be integrated into the major five against Boston.
