Epidemics of acute gastroenteritis and influenza in Martinique

At the same time, the number of visits made by SOS doctors has increased since the end of December.
In the past two weeks (January 13 to 26, 2020) 45 visits for influenza-like illness have been made.

At the hospital, the influenza A virus was identified 13 times and the influenza B virus 7 times.

Surveillance of serious influenza cases admitted to intensive care

The surveillance system for severe influenza cases admitted to intensive care / intensive care has been in effect since November 4, 2019.

Five serious cases have been reported in the last two weeks by the intensive care units of the Martinique University Hospital Center. And the influenza A virus has been identified in all cases. (source Antilles Cell).
