On Sunday, March 7th, Franz Mack, Senior Director of Europa-Park, will be 100 years old. Dr. Michael Thoma, legal advisor of Europa-Park, recalls the life of the company founder, master craftsman and entrepreneur from Waldkirch.
. The two families Mack and Thoma have had a professional and friendly relationship for three generations. Grandfather Gregor Thoma worked as a blacksmith at the Mack company and father Willi, the company’s legal advisor, liked to describe himself as a “Mackian”. He was then followed by Michael Thoma, who met Franz Mack as a young holiday jobber. Michael Thoma said he was a tough and determined entrepreneur, but also very sociable with his dry sense of humor.
