Enjoy your goal, Alisson, then you have to clean sheet against Burnley

Jakarta

Goalkeeper Liverpool Alisson Becker just had a historic moment after scoring his team’s winning goal. Furthermore, Alisson is required to not concede in the next match.

Liverpool won a dramatic 2-1 victory at West Bromwich Albion headquarters in the Premier League continued. Compete at The Hawthorn, Sunday (16/5/2021) evening WIB, Liverpool fell behind first after Hal Robson-Kanu scored a goal in the 15th minute.

Mohamed Salah brought Liverpool to equalize through his goal in the 33rd minute. Alisson then became a hero after the Brazilian goalkeeper scored a goal in the 95th minute.

Alisson is also listed in the history books as the first goalkeeper to score for Liverpool. He also became the first goalkeeper to score a header in Premier League history.

Alisson’s goal was very important because he kept the opportunity Liverpool to finish in the top four. The Reds now ranks fifth Premier League standings with 63 points and just one point behind Chelsea who are fourth with two games remaining.

Alisson was so happy and looked emotional after his goal resulted in the victory for Liverpool. The Brazilian goalkeeper remembered his late father, Jose Becker, who died last February.

Alisson is now allowed to enjoy his goal. However, the next assignment awaits. The former AS Roma goalkeeper was asked not to concede in the next match against Burnley.

“Now we will let Ali enjoy this moment for maybe five, 10 minutes, then we will ask him for a clean sheet on Wednesday because we are still hunting,” Liverpool defender Andy Robertson said on the club’s official website.

“But it will be very difficult and we are heading to Turf Moor where there will be fans.”

“Burnley had a good season, strong, and we have to do our best and be more cruel than today to get the three points, which will take the fight to the last game.”

“We still need six points to get to the Champions League and then we can maybe sit down with a little satisfaction,” he said.

Liverpool will travel to Burnley’s headquarters at Turf Moor on Thursday (20/5/2021) in the morning WIB. In the last match, Juergen Klopp’s troops will host Crystal Palace on Sunday (23/5/2021).
