Hilarious gas has been in fashion in England, especially at festivals and concerts. And if it is now prohibited for sale to minors, it would seem that the gas with a slightly sweet smell and taste, used in medicine for its analgesic and anesthetic properties, is back in force, and not only among British youth. Nitrous oxide is also said to be popular with Arsenal players who have used it for recreational use.
Arsenal have already called their players to order
A video of former OL striker Alexandre Lacazette was released by the Daily Star, where the Frenchman is seen consuming laughing gas through a balloon, with rap playing in the background. These images could cause him problems since the club had already warned its players in 2018 against the dangerousness of the chemical compound. Six Arsenal players were filmed in a nightclub on a private party inhaling laughing gas just before the championship resumed in England.
Alexandre Lacazette, reprimanded last month for non-compliance with confinement in England, was already among the players accused, along with the German midfielder Mesut Özil, who had lost consciousness according to a witness to the evening, quoted at the time in the English tabloids. The players had been called to order by Arsenal. Not everyone has learned the lesson. In France, the Ministry of Health, noting an increase in undesirable effects – sometimes very serious – in connection with this practice, had warned of the dangers of laughing gas in November 2019.
