Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Hamburg’s Mayor Peter Tschentscher (SPD) visited the police, rescue workers and doctors on New Year’s Eve and paid tribute to their efforts at the turn of the year. After the stressful year 2020 due to the corona pandemic, he thanked the people who work for others at the turn of the year when he visited a police station in Winterhude, a rescue station in Altona and in the Catholic Marienkrankenhaus. “At the turn of the year there are again a lot of people on duty so that Hamburg can start the new year safely and safely,” said Tschentscher. “I thank everyone who is on duty in their jobs tonight.”
