[En images] Reopening of shops: large crowds in the streets of Chartres

The traders in downtown Chartres expected this. On this first day of reopening of so-called “non-essential” businesses (except restaurants and bars), customers were at the rendezvous in the streets of the city, this Saturday, November 28.

Les Vitrines de Chartres are launching online sales

A reopening as well received by traders as buyers, but with precise sanitary measures: counting of customers at the entrance, hydroalcoholic gel, mask still mandatory, and a stricter gauge, with fewer people authorized both in the store .

A deposit that has consequences: queues form in front of some shops, from this Saturday morning.

“Reopening was important for all of us”

“I’m happy to see the customers again”, smiles Jérémie Barbarin, manager of the Flash comic book store, rue de la Clouterie. “And they’re happy too. Comics are visual and customers need to touch books. Reopening was important to all of us.”

A feeling shared by all traders, including Lydia, responsible for the Eram store in Chartres: “I am satisfied and I notice that customers are more careful than at the first deconfinement.”

A large number of shops in Chartres open on Sundays until Christmas
