In the corona pandemic, the Empire State Building in New York also becomes a vaccination center.

For the time being, from this Friday to Sunday, people in the famous skyscraper in the middle of Manhattan could be vaccinated, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Thursday. The first 100 people vaccinated can then visit the skyscraper’s viewing platforms free of charge.

Previously, numerous other famous institutions in New York State – such as the American Museum of Natural History – had become vaccination centers. The government and companies have created numerous incentives for vaccinations, such as free donuts, french fries, subway tickets, tickets for museums and sporting events, a money lottery and the raffle of free study places for children and young people. More than 60 percent of adults in the state of New York with around 19 million inhabitants are already fully vaccinated, but the momentum of the vaccination campaign had recently waned.
