Andrea Schlenk has been shaping the image of the Breisgau Wine Festival in Emmendingen since March 2005. Fifteen wine festivals, fifteen Breisgau wine princesses and tens of thousands of visitors walked the streets, which, thanks to their participation, made unforgettable wine festival evenings possible. Together with the city of Emmendingen and the Breisgau vintners, the Breisgau wine festival in Emmendingen has grown into one of the highlights in the region over the past fifteen years. In 2012 Andrea Schlenk was promoted to the management of the GmbH and has been shaping the company’s fortunes ever since. Now this era in the Breisgauer Wein GmbH comes to an end at the end of December. From January 2021, the city will accompany the wine festival.
A lot of responsibility, creativity, organizational talent and diplomacy are required when planning an event. “I am now looking forward to a quiet glass of sparkling wine at the wine festival, even if I pass on this responsibility with sadness. At some point it will be time to be able to enjoy this wonderful atmosphere yourself, ”says Andrea Schlenk.
In future, Ulrich Hülswitt from Herbolzheim will take over her planning tasks. The 40-year-old comes from the Ruhr area and is looking forward to getting to know the wine culture in Breisgau. He studied marketing and event management and worked in this field for many years.
“As an open, communicative and curious connoisseur, I’m looking forward to working with the winemakers and facing the challenges ahead,” says Ulrich Hülswitt.
Isabella Vetter continues to manage the GmbH.
We thank Ms. Schlenk for her many years of work for the Breisgau winemakers and wish her all the best. We warmly welcome Mr. Hülswitt to the team and look forward to the upcoming joint work. We hope to be able to hold our popular Breisgau Wine Festival again in 2021.
