Emmanuel Macron to visit Russia soon – Reuters

PARIS (Reuters) – Emmanuel Macron said on Saturday that he will be traveling to Russia soon for further talks the day after a videoconference with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

“The dialogue of trust initiated with President Poutine in Brégançon continues,” said the French president on his Twitter account, citing security issues in Europe, regional conflicts and the climate.

“We are moving forward and I will soon be going to Russia,” he adds.

The two leaders met on Friday during a videoconference.

“This deep and substantial exchange made it possible to take stock of the dialogue of confidence and security initiated almost a year ago during the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to France”, can we read in a press release issued by the Elysée.
