Tom is a very jovial, warm man who you can have a good laugh with. He immediately took both me and my brother Warre (who plays Polly’s brother David, ed.) Under his wing and put us at ease. But above all I admire Tom for his courage and guts. He does not shy away from any challenge.
We get along very well! I can contact him with many things and I think that is also the case in the other direction. Being on the set together is very nice. I really enjoy sharing fun recording days with him.
I would love to make acting my profession. For the time being I am still studying language and literature, I am doing Greek and Latin, but playing full-time is and will remain my big dream. I would prefer to combine set life with playing cabaret shows with my brother. By the way, we have been doing this for a while, under the name Warremma.
I worry too much, I think, about both small everyday things and bigger problems.

Would a life as an undercover cop be for you?
I’m afraid not. Although that job consists largely of acting, I think I would be far too scared. I am not the most daring and I think a criminal like Ferry would catch on to me way too quickly.
What’s your worst trait?
I worry too much, I think, about both small everyday things and bigger problems. In itself that is not always a bad quality, but I can sometimes lose myself in that and take things very personally.
What is your favorite sweet sin?
M & M’s with nuts, just like my grandmother’s. When I used to visit her, we sometimes ate a whole bag while we watched Toon Hermans’ performances. That bag kept shrinking until our hands suddenly hit the bottom. That was never intended, but it did (laughs).
What scares you?
It’s a cliché, but I’m terrified of spiders. It just gives me shivers just thinking about it. I know they are harmless and yet I can’t get that fear out of my mind. I don’t like heights either. So you will never see me jump out of a plane for fun …
