Al Ain, November 26 / WAM / Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director of the Office of the Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region Al Ain, this evening witnessed the opening of the activities of the Sweihan Hills Desert Camp Festival, organized by the Al Ain City Municipality until the end of next April on an area of 11.8 square kilometers.
Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan and his companions visited the competition grounds and were briefed on the distinct services and facilities offered by the camp, which is designed according to the best international standards, to be a destination that caters to the needs of the society in terms of entertainment and an outlet for land and desert lovers and will work to encourage domestic tourism, which contributes to the development and development of the region.
The inauguration was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Faisal Al Qasimi and a number of officials.
Sweihan Hills Camp is a leading destination for auto and motorcycle desert racing and safari tourism in the Al Ain region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The Sweihan Hills Festival offers a unique and wonderful experience for sand racing sports enthusiasts and practitioners, where three rounds will be held. The first round will start on 14th December, while the second round will start on 1st February. in March, and there will be many prizes for the winners of various categories.
The camp was organized in cooperation with a number of government and private institutions and agencies, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company “ADNEC”, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Distribution Company ADNOC, Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center “Tadweer”, the Health Authority, and Al Ain Distribution Company.
