Emirates News Agency – Tomorrow… the launch of the first “Trends” conference on education

ABU DHABI, 31st January, 2020 (WAM) — The “Trends Education Conference”, organized by the Trends Center for Research and Consultation, will start tomorrow under the slogan “Developing a vision for the future of education… Engines of change and innovation”, and it will last for two days, with the participation of more than 20 international experts and academics specializing in education affairs, in celebration of World Education Day.

Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Trends Center, said that education is the most important engine for positive change and enhancing the cognitive capabilities of countries, and thus their global position within the developed and modern countries.

He pointed out that many governments and countries are working to develop their educational policies to be compatible with the developments of the international knowledge environment, and appropriate to graduate new generations capable of achieving competition in the era of the fourth industrial revolution and artificial intelligence, and achieving the requirements of future development.

He explained that in this context, the idea of ​​the conference organized by the Center came to discuss the main drivers of change and innovation in the field of education and how to develop a vision for the future of education that achieves the desired goals, noting that the conference includes, in addition to the main and opening speeches, four sessions and a closing session.

He said that the first session deals with the development of knowledge and the requirements of the global era: aligning education with the desired goals in the twenty-first century. Climate change.

He pointed out that the second session deals with the role of educational technologies in promoting learning: transformative and forward-looking approaches, and discusses axes related to education and technical innovation.. the limits of impact and vulnerability, digital transformation in education within the agenda of digital governments, and educational technologies and their role in developing the educational process.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Ali stated that the third session will be held on the second day of the conference under the title of Strategy, Policies and Educational Leadership: Evaluation of International Best Practices and Case Studies. The experiences of Singapore, Finland and Australia in education will be discussed as successful models.

Wolfen indicated that the fourth session will be in the form of a round table discussion for education leaders, entitled: Enabling Education in the 21st Century with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Innovative Solutions and Opportunities for Advancement, where a group of experts, educational leaders and international academics will discuss the future prospects for education in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and intelligence. and trying to come up with recommendations and innovative ideas to ensure the development of the educational process in line with future developments.

He explained that the last session includes the main conclusions and recommendations reached by the experts participating in the symposium in order to enable education and link it to the future national policies of countries in the era of the knowledge revolution.

In preparation for the conference, the Trends Youth Council organized, in cooperation with the Council of the Emirates Student Association, “university debates”, which touched on education and the need to focus on critical thinking and research approaches that develop the capabilities of learners and open ways for them to innovation and creativity. Education prospects and youth aspirations were also reviewed with the participation of universities It has an international reputation and knowledge value, and the interlocutors stressed the need to focus on creative thinking and education keeping pace with the times and its requirements, and that it works to improve young people’s chances of obtaining decent jobs and enjoying a better life.
