Elon Musk’s Starlink Now Can Be WiFi Planes, Boats and Cars

Starlink satellite internet belongs to Elon Musk more wind to develop their business and network. The US government allows them to provide WiFi on mobile vehicles, be it land, sea and air transportation modes.

The permit was granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. They announced that Starlink was allowed to expand cooperation with airlines, ships and caravans.

SpaceX has been building Starlink as a giant constellation of satellites in low-Earth orbit. They plan to install 42 thousand satellites to provide internet service around the world.

Starlink is currently operating in the US, Canada, New Zealand, parts of Australia, UK, France and Spain. Their target is to increase the number of countries served by the end of 2022.

Starlink also cooperates with several commercial airlines to provide WiFi on board. In April 2022, Hawaiian Airlines began providing free in-flight WiFi using Starlink. Meanwhile, the airline Delta Airlines is in the pilot phase.

With FCC approval, Starlink can expand their business to various other fields that have the same mobility needs. For cruise ships, the Royal Caribbean company has looked at Starlink for plans to provide internet on the various cruise ships they have.
