This is not the first revelation of this actor. Six years ago, as Ellen Page, she announced that she was gay during a speech during the Time to Thrive human rights conference in Las Vegas. Elliot Page confided in announcing a change in his sexual identification that even though his happiness from the change is real, he is fragile because he also fears the reaction of others, finger-pointing, joking and violence. He reminded that at least 40 transgender people were murdered in the USA this year alone. It calls on politicians and other influential people to stop attacking this community and not to spread hatred for it. This is also the reason why 40 percent of transgender people will attempt suicide at least once in their lives.

Elliot Page was still known as Elen Page, especially as a cult character of a pregnant teenager in the film Juno (2007), but also Inception (2010) or X-Men: Days of Future Past. For the last two years, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.
Elliot Page is not the first Hollywood actor in the transgender community. Probably the best known of these are the sisters Lana and Lilly Wachowska, who before the change of identity (as Laurence and Andrew) directed films such as the Matrix trilogy or produced the film V for Vendeta (2005).
