Elite Taxi BCN will represent the sector at IMET
Yesterday the votes were carried out to choose representatives to the Taula Tecnica del Texi (TTT) in the Metropolitan Institute of Taxi (IMET) of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB).
Participation was very similar to that of 2016, in what has been the usual trend to involve, which is not for that reason insufficient to mobilize the sector.
Unlike until now, the association STAC and ATC also enter the table of the TTT, with two representatives each, although the Asociació Taxi Companys, has been presented together with TLU, ANGET and PakTaxi.
On the other hand, Elite Taxi BCN, after almost 5 years in the TTT, faced elections marked by the wear and tear of the last two years, where the association has been in the focus of many destabilizing attempts, even with internal elections in between. , but they have resisted, even above the majority of the Board’s expectations, which denotes the consolidation of the association within the sector.
In 2016 the Barcelona Elite was a new association with hardly any travel, although it did represent the novelty of breaking into a sleepy sector with freshness, and doing so with an essential force, at a time when the taxi sector was beginning to be a victim of what Later on we have all known as ‘uberization’, a battle in which the Barcelona Elite has not stopped fighting for a single day.
The 2016 elections supposed obtained a representation of 65.27% of the votes and yesterday’s elections were settled with 57.13%, which leaves a representation panorama very similar to the existing one.
