The prosecution announced this Saturday morning the arrest of eleven people, most of them minors, in the investigation into the riots that took place in Brussels last April.
“In the past few days, no fewer than 11 suspects, most of them minors, have been arrested. A minor suspect, living in Halle, has been placed at the disposal of the Halle-Vilvoorde prosecution, “said the press release.
Among the 10 others, 5 were placed in IPPJ and the last 5 were released under “very strict conditions”.
Recall that riots broke out on April 11 when the day before, Adil, a young man of 19 who fled on a moped had been killed by an unmarked police car.
During these disturbances, a police officer’s weapon was stolen following a violent attack on a police vehicle. Meanwhile, the weapon was found and the robber placed under arrest warrant. An investigation was immediately opened by the Brussels public prosecutor’s office.
